Lauzza and Kibo create a world that belongs in a Sega Megadrive, racing through different random scenarios in the aptly titled Mr Lamborghini Deathslide.Kibo and his pals are hanging out at home when an ancient VHS tape is discovered and slotted in the old VHS player.Cue a series of sharp, snappy, primary coloured yet visually fuzzy vignettes as Kibo raps a stream of memorable one-liners while popping up in an array of different costumes, situations and characters.There's an abundance of wild playfulness and visual inventiveness on display here to neatly dovetail with the infectious energy of the track - which happens to be a UK Garage banger of the old-school. So the lo-fi old school console vibe of the visuals is a perfect match.It's as if the viewer has dusted off their PS1 or N64 for old time sake. Well, you cannot play it, but you can certainly watch it, again and again.

Will Dohrn directs an absorbing promo for Mura Masa featuring Danish artist Erika De Casier.The video for e-motions - from the UK DJ producer's new album - sees De Casier alone in several dreamlike vignettes, as the video reveals a gently surreal world with 3D simulations, projection mapping and infrared cameras. And where she gets to a ride a silver jet-ski across a satin sea. Shot on 16mm by DoP Jack Exton, the video has a gorgeous analogue texture and feel, which contrasts nicely with the slick chrome art direction and surfaces. Innovative whilst remaining intimate, Dohrn blends nostalgia and futuristic vibes in a masterful way.

Jordan Rossi takes Craig David into a colourful surrealist adventure for his video for My Heart's Been Waiting For You.Craig performs this garage-influenced club hit in a serious of increasingly surreal settings, with outer space encroaching into modern-day London. And periodically everything then suddenly ramps up into another dazzling visual dimension."The brief was wide open," explains Rossi. "All that was stated was they wanted a green screen video that had the vibe of Craig's tour footage. I took that and ran with it, and wanted to craft a luminous surrealist fantasy that was equal parts Dali with Craig's R&B-pop aesthetic."Craig was the best collaborator a director could ask for. Hugely respectful of the art but always wanted to push the boundaries creatively. It meant that what was a green screen video became a smash of reality and illusion in the most entrancing of ways. The final result is a fantasia of colour and other worldly scenarios. All seemingly familiar but with a twist."

Jay Green is back with visuals for old school banger Don't Know About You by B Live, featuring Becky Hill and JME. The promo makes effective use of Green's VFX skills, as the artists perform in swirling futuristic cubes, which bounce, rotate and distort at random. Like a pinball machine on acid, we switch between these setups in a warped, hyperreal fashion, whilst the overall aesthetic leans heavily into early Noughties retro-futurism. The switch-ups in colour palette and frantic camera movements alongside the energetic performances make this one to remember.

Claymation master William Child collaborates with Kurupt FM for new promo Dreaming - a tie-in with the People Just Do Nothing spin-off movie Big In Japan and the crew's debut album.The track features Birmingham’s Jaykae and Mist, and puts a UKG spin on Gabrielle’s 1993 hit Dreams, delivering all the vibes for (late) summer 2021.Child’s claymation visuals bring the dreams of the three guys to life, effortlessly balancing complex character creations with cleverly constructed sets, with hilarious Easter eggs sprinkled throughout.

Jorja Smith plays a cunning car mechanic, involved in a money-making wheeze with her co-star Shaybo, in the gritty and atmospheric video for Bussdown directed Fenn O'Meally - and filmed in Jorja's hometown in Walsall. If the sight of Jorja as a West Midlands car mechanic seems unlikely at first, O'Meally makes it work by drawing on various influences and sharp cinematic techniques from Hollywood heist movies, and also closer to home. Initially, it's Jorja who uses her charm to seriously overcharge customers at the auto repair garage. Shaybo observes on the CCTV, before they indulge in their taste for jewellry, as Jorja transforms out of her oily overalls into something more glamorous.For a song which has an unhurried soulful tempo, O’Meally's command of the narrative, attention to detail and integration of the performances is exceptional. This is a very confident and stylish video by the director - also from the West Midlands - and a great platform for the performers who display their natural personalities and chemistry while inhabiting their fictional roles. The cinematography by Patrick Golan is perfect for providing the fusion of English kitchen sink grittiness and slick music video glamour. “Honestly, it's been a blessing working with an artist who is so driven, so hard working and so collaborative," says O'Meally. "I knew working with Jorja would be special - two Midlands girls, both who hustle their heart out, from very humble backgrounds, teaming up and showing up is always going to be special. And then Shaybo in the mix, crazyyyy talent... I am so grateful for the trust both artists gave me.”
