Bonobo 'Me And You' by In/Out

Rob Ulitski - 11th June 2026

Directing duo In/Out focus on the structure of rocks - a challenging subject for a music video but to mesmerising effect here - in their promo that heralds the return to action of producer/DJ Simon Green - aka Bonobo.

The video for Me And You - the first Bonobo release since his Fragments album in 2022 - was filmed in a quarry, capturing towering rock structures that shift and collapse to the beat. JP and Thom of In/Out have used a Phantom camera to record the moments when rocks are blown from a cliff-face after an explosion. Then they have reinterpreted and reworked that footage - and recreated the rocks in CG animation.

Interspersed with stylised post-production detail, the forms transferred, manipulated and tracked, it's a powerful metaphor for connection and impermanence, set against the pulsating beats and vocal samples in Bonobo’s immersive electronic soundscape.
