Lewis Cater directs an intriguing outdoorsy promo for Tennessee-raised singer Cassandra Coleman. 

From the soundtrack of season 2 of Netflix series Nobody Wants This, the Bite My Tongue video finds Cassandra in a handful of liminal vignettes. Backdropped by mountainous landscapes, we see Coleman as an exasperated checkout clerk, a conflicted arborist and a dazzling performer, creating a sense of playful surrealism in every frame. 

Balancing concept and performance, Cater creates an intimate space for the artist to open up and experiment, navigating the complicated emotional pull in the track. 

"[It's] a reflective look back," he explains. "It’s the future self observing their younger counterpart, who was blinded by complacency and consumerism, convinced that meaningful change was always out of reach. Even though it was there all along."
