Rob Akin directs a melancholic portrait of stifling loneliness within a marriage, in his video for Jorja Smith's Home. 

The concept of 'home' can mean different things to different people - for some, it's a physical location, for others, it's a feeling of warmth and safety within a relationship. 

In the video, Akin explores emotional disconnection between a woman and her husband. On the outside, it seems they have it all - a beautiful home, a happy child and a lavish lifestyle. But beneath the surface, deep cracks are forming, and Smith bears witness to the turmoil, in her role as a Nanny within the family dynamic. 

It's a poignant emotional rollercoaster, with Akin's subtle direction emphasising the role of the unhappy wife, played by Kattreya Smith. Jorja Smith - who was the creative director on the project - also does a top-notch job with her supporting role, flexing her acting chops in an inspired yet naturalistic manner.
