James McMorrow ft Rudimental 'Be Somebody' by Jonatan Egholm Keis
Rob Ulitski - 19th Apr 2021
Jonatan Egholm Keis directs a beachside epic for James McMorrow & Rudimental collaboration on Be Somebody.
Shot across various locations in Denmark, the video represents a crumbling relationship through abstract vignettes and choppy, intense edits.
Visualising the upbeat music through frenetic movement, we see a couple ride a motorbike at dusk, freefall down sandy dunes and have fiery, heat-of-the-moment arguments, whilst backdropped by dazzling landscapes.
There might not be much of a narrative, but the concept is all the better for it - and DoP Robin Holtz ensures that every frame is a worthy still image in its own right.
