Luke Jenison ft Ur Highness 'Wrong Way' by Luke Jenison
Rob Ulitski - 20th Oct 2020
It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood, in Luke Jenison's latest self-directed video.Â
With an abundance of references to the iconic American TV show Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, Jenison answers the age-old question: if Mr. Rogers was a rapper, what would he sound like? Finally we have an appropriate response.
Featuring Dallas-based rapper Ur Highness, Wrong Way is a hyper-energetic banger, which happens to have an atypical video concept. It certainly builds upon the rapper/director's brand of hilarious, offbeat films, following those for Boyfriend and Peach Fuzz Kurt Russell. Â
The black and white aesthetic gives the project an authentic feel - as do the permanent smiles plastered to everyone's faces throughout. This is All-American nostalgia encapsulated in under three minutes, and another hit for the up-and-coming artist.Â
