It's another one-shot, with frontman Paul Jason Klein walking towards a big inflated balloon - shaped like a heart of course. Ravishankara's concept is simple but powerful, with Klein drawn back repeatedly to grab the balloon, representing the push-pull dynamic of relationships and heartbreak, and the insurmountable effort it takes to wrestle against our own emotions. And is the balloon getting bigger? Soon he is being lifted slightly off the ground, and then some more...
DoP Drew Bienemann's sublime cinematography is both intimate and arresting, bathing the artist in a soft red glow and capturing the hypnotic while keeping things grounded. Well, until the end, that is.
