Aquilo 'Moving On' by Kris R

Rob Ulitski - 2nd Sept 2020

Director Kris R visualises a wild, hazy night with severe consequences, in the video for Aquilo's Moving On.

Featuring actor Nathan Welsh, the video uses clever cinematography - with excellent use of the SnorriCam - to take viewers along for the ride, focused on every facial expression and emotion as the events unfold on screen.

Though minimalist in its execution, the visual has an exciting and dynamic style, which is anchored by an incredibly realistic performance from Welsh, and a handful of situations that we have all no doubt experienced on our more drunken nights.

KRIS R:

We wanted the viewer to be right there with Nathan.

"Working closely with the boys in Aquilo, we decided to shoot with the SnorriCam because of obvious COVID-19 restrictions. Creatively the POV perspective not only adds to the drama, but takes you along for the ride.

"It actually captures exactly what we wanted from the video. We wanted the viewer to be right there with the protagonist (Nathan Welsh) and to summon that all-too-familiar-feeling. The hangover from hell."
