Aitch 'Safe To Say' by KC Locke

Rob Ulitski - 26th Aug 2020

The dream team are back for Aitch's third collaboration with KC Locke.

Diving headfirst into multiple setups and transitions, the video is a quickfire succession of innovative vignettes focused on Aitch's performance, stitched together with clever VFX work.

Private jets, high-end cars and beautiful models are a mainstay for this type of visual, however this project goes above and beyond the "norm", and into more eclectic, conceptual territory.

KC LOCKE:

I felt this project was the best time to experiment with technology and have some fun!

"When Aitch hit me up for our third collaboration he wanted to shoot a video for Safe To Say which was the first track on the Polaris EP (and my favourite) I was in from the get go!

"Aitch wanted a fast-paced video which was unique and different from anything we’ve done before.... he also wanted to be riding a wave on a surfboard haha, which was an exciting challenge and I love when artists come with good ideas and take pride in the videos they make.

"I had been toying with the idea of a back-to-back transition video for a while and felt this project was the best time to experiment with technology and have some fun! I planned out the whole video including each transition and camera move myself then handed my plans over to the Producer, DP and VFX team to follow, and collectively the vision came to life.

"There were a lot of different elements to shoot with this including multiple locations, green screen, set builds and motion control where each department worked extremely hard while keeping to a very quick turnaround.

"The production team behind me really care about the creative and bringing my vision to life which I feel really shows in the video we delivered."
