DC 'Tears Sweat & Blood' by Dir. Lx
Following the visual for Neighbourhood earlier this year, DC collaborates with Dir. Lx once again to create the hugely stylish video for the reflective Tears, Sweat & Blood.
Exploring the hustle and grind it takes to get to where you want to be in life, the mixed-media concept combines striking set-ups, plus both motion and still images, to build upon the introspective themes in the track.
Production designer Jade Mortimer introduces a punch of colourful art direction to the concept, focusing on umbrellas as a shield from the elements, and shattered glass to represent the dichotomy between danger and creativity.
DoP Sam Meyer uses vibrant coloured lighting and offbeat angles to extend this sense of style to the cinematography, elevating the aesthetic whilst honing in on the main focus of the video: "Only the paranoid survive".

In his second video for Smokepurpp, director Lx immerses the rapper in a trippy, VFX-heavy world of glistening silver and high runway speeds.
Dir. Lx channels an ob-doc feel with his latest video for DC, utilizing a lo-fi, multi-format approach to bring out some authentic vignettes and performances from the rapper.
Odunsi teams up with Raye for the splendid Tipsy, and Dir Lx gets the sparks flying between the artists in video, which delivers a stylish 1970s vibe.
Dir. Lx brings us a cinematic visual for Birmingham-based Rapper Mist, in honour of the anniversary of his parents' death.
