Declan McKenna 'Daniel, You're Still A Child' by Will Hooper
Will Hooper rounds off his series of collaborations with Declan McKenna, in the video for Daniel, You're Still A Child.
Working with 3D artist Alfie Dwyer, Hooper has created a fantastical landscape which pays homage to iconic moments from each video, including Declan's well documented love of baked beans.
Capturing the director and artist's sense of weird, self-referential humour, the visual moves from snake-infested cityscapes to freaky forests and rainbow roads -with a stop by the glitchy set from Beautiful Faces on the way - whilst the camera perpetually pulls back in an endless loop of CGI environments.
McKenna's performance is as engaging as ever, and his interaction with the imaginary scenes helps realise the offbeat concept. In short, a perfect video to consume in the countdown to McKenna's new album, Zeros, and another big success for the pair's creative collaboration.
