Opening with Super 8mm footage of a courtship and marriage ceremony, the relationship shown on screen is quickly soured when we realise her partner is overwhelmingly controlling and violent. Taking steps to escape and exact her revenge, Tora pampers herself to make sure she's looking her best, before poisoning him at the dinner table in a dramatic stand-off. 

Paying homage to film noir with hard shadows and high contrast lighting, the cinematography elevates the mysterious concept by hiding various elements of the scene. Anything could be lurking in the shadows, but one thing's for sure - there is no messing with this femme fatale.
