Sega Bodega 'Salv Goes To Hollywood' by Jade Jackman
Jade Jackman directs an ensemble of youths "wasting time" in grungy claustrophobic rooms in the video for Salv Goes To Hollywood.
Inspired by an article Jackman read on how business managers were making toilets in workplaces tilted to prevent employees spending too much time on them, the video also draws from Marilyn Manson's Beautiful People and Wong Kar-Wai's 1995 film Fallen Angels.
Uniquely twisted in its vision, the art direction from Ranya El-Rafaey is superb, utilising sickly green hues and mould infested textures to create a decidedly grubby aesthetic. Sega's performance is suitably weird, as he spends a great deal of time sat on a toilet tweaking and scratching himself, infested by the contaminated environment.
