Brody Bernheisel directs an ethereal promo for Brooklyn-based singer and musician Carrie Erving - aka Shrines.
Shrines 'Release' by Brody Bernheisel
Brooklyn-based musician Shrines explores a new perspective in Brody Bernheisel's otherworldly video for Release.
The video meditates on the idea of transcending your everyday circumstances and gaining a new perspective through a process of letting go and living in the now. Using clever wire tricks, Shrines - real name Carrie Erving - floats above the dancers, intermittently touching back down to experience the present moment.
Erving and Bernheisel enlisted dance company Dance Kaleidoscope to assist with the choreography, using modern dance techniques that use gravity to help move and manipulate their dance expressions. Ethereal and engaging, it's a well-executed video with strong performances across the board.
