Justin Bieber 'Yummy' by Bardia Zeinali
Rob Ulitski - 6th Jan 2020
Justin Bieber stumbles upon a upscale restaurant packed with colourful characters - and with food to match - in Bardia Zeinali's video for Yummy.
After four years away from the charts, Bieber marks his return with arguably his most offbeat and wacky music video to date. It's directed by Zeinali, the former Vogue visual content creator known for his work with Troye Sivan and Paris Hilton, who creates a bizarre gastronomic dreamworld, filled with candy-coloured styling and frenetic cinematography, in which the pink-haired Bieber is undisputed king.
Sat at a table full of 80's inspired, not-quite-yummy food, everyone is keen to share a moment with the artist, who is totally in his element throughout the video. Building to a climax where he dusts off his dance shoes and performs up on the tables with the guests, pop's former wild-child is as energetic as ever, with a decidely more mature aura. This is a new era for Bieber, and a statement of what's to come.
