Imogen Heap, Guy Sigsworth 'Shurayo' by Vasilisa Forbes
Promonews - 14th Nov 2019
Magical paper waves, a hot red sun, paper clouds and vibrant fishes... Vasilisa Forbes directs Imogen Heap in a setting worthy of a Japanese painting for Shurayo.
Working with set-designer and builder Annemarieke Kloosterhof, Forbes has devised a an all-paper constructed set of the kind more normally seen in inventive animation than a live action video.
For her collaboration with Guy Sigsworth, Heap stands on the deck a ship on the ocean wave, which passes from day to night and into a storm, and finally leads to a shipwreck. It's a distinctive achievement and Vasilisa Forbes says that she is she is very proud to create this delgihtful video, particularly her collaboration with Kloosterhof.Â
"Talent, magic and a desire to create something otherworldly on a shoestring budget, made this video happen," she says.Â
