Vasilisa Forbes continues her collaborative streak with Pale Waves, directing the theatrical promo for Clean.The video is set in a theatre, and explores the contrast between the intimate backstage world, (the inner-self) and ‘putting on a show’.Inspired by cabaret and Old Hollywood glamour, we see vocalist Heather backstage, draped in pearls and luxury styling, before appearing on stage with the band, playing to an empty room.&nbsp;Amplifying the dichotomy of reality and fiction, the video is peppered with surrealist moments - such as an homage to the iconic red rose sequence in American Beauty - and traverses the line between fantasy and the real world.&nbsp;

Vasilisa Forbes follows up her video for Pale Waves' <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/05/18/pale-waves-lies-vasilisa-forbes/76477" target="_blank">Lies</a> with a starkly monochromic performance piece for Jealousy.The high-contrast cinematography is inspired by the work of taboo-busting Irish photographer <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Carlos_Clarke#DVDs" target="_blank">Bob Carlos Clarke</a>, and gives the promo an editorial-meets-punk aesthetic.[imgtoken data:1]The minimalist art direction and expansive white cyc backdrops create a glossy, luxurious feel, which is perfectly balanced by the rougher textures and frenetic camerawork.&nbsp;"I wanted to take Pale Waves into a punk and minimal world," says Forbes.&nbsp;"Chains represent&nbsp;suppression and being held back by jealous thoughts and emotions - caging, carrying a weight, oppression and breaking bonds."

A sparky, colour-coded confection for Pixey by Vasilisa Forbes,&nbsp;bringing a summery Britpop vibe to the early summer of 2022 for Come Around.&nbsp;&nbsp;"I was inspired by the lead lyric in Come Around&nbsp;which referenced a sunny day, and immediately saw Pixey in a world of glowing light,"&nbsp;says Vasilisa Forbes.&nbsp;"Each set up is an ode to a sunny day, artistic recreations of what makes me happy -sunshine. Sunset gradients, hot white light, dawn, a deep blue sky, and Pixey herself as a sun-flower growing in the lush earth."Everything is circles and circular movement, repetition, rising and falling, dark to light, and a super-fast-fun edit."

Vasilisa Forbes directs Imogen Heap in a setting worthy of a Japanese painting for Shurayo.Working with set-designer and builder Annemarieke Kloosterhof, Forbes has devised a an&nbsp;all-paper constructed set of the kind more normally seen in inventive animation than a live action video.For her collaboration with Guy Sigsworth, Heap stands on the deck a ship on&nbsp;the ocean&nbsp;wave, which passes from day to night and into&nbsp;a storm, and finally leads to a shipwreck. It's a distinctive achievement and&nbsp;Vasilisa Forbes says that she is she is very proud to create this delgihtful video, particularly her collaboration with&nbsp;Kloosterhof.&nbsp;"Talent, magic and a desire to create something otherworldly on a shoestring budget, made this video happen," she says.&nbsp;
