Georgia 'Never Let You Go' by Joe Connor
Ned Botwood - 7th Oct 2019
Georgia strolls through a desert wilderness in this simple, celestial video by Joe Connor.
On a breezy evening, Connor took a skeleton crew of five to the Jordanian desert, a decision that gives Georgia free rein of a sublime, dramatic landscape. Then he placed the footage in the capable hands of Black Kite Studios, who delivered the stellar sky work.
The team used Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night as a guiding principle, and in the closing moments of Never Let Me Go, the video conjures the spectre of that painting with a magical, billowing skyline.
JOE CONNOR:
"For this video i wanted to create something otherworldly, spectacular, simple and different. Georgia is a new artist with a bold and interesting sound and so setting her in the desert wilderness of Jordan, with stunning celestial sky work by Black Kite Studios felt like the right tone for this new voice.
"There was nothing better then bashing out into the desert with just me, Fred [Bonham Carter], DOP Callan Green and Pickles the AC to capture this one. Everyone brought the A game to this one."
