Friends at the disco show each other what they’re made of, in Joel Honeywell’s directorial debut for Blue Lab Beats.

As he's a rising star of cinemagraphy, Honeywell was never going to shoot something less than great looking. Sure enough, the video for Hi There is a gorgeous harmony of blue and gold, supported by great transitions and some sensational dancing. 

But you also get the sense that as a director, he has a real warmth and feeling for his stars – and an eye for capturing their personalities on screen. This may be a timeless disco, but it also has the tangible feeling of Blue Lab Beats' homepatch of North London right now - which Honeywell framed delicately in his previous outings as the band's DOP.
