We've come to expect Björk videos to be special and the VFX work to be brilliant. But even by her standards, Tobias Gremmler's video for Tabula Rasa is extraordinary.

It is almost impossible to describe, but essentially, Gremler's CGI animation of an evolving form of flower also contains the unmistakeable presence of Björk.

There's also an element of humour as this ethereal imagery counterpoints Björk's earthy use of language in the track Tabula Rasa, directed at an individual, possibly her own child, who she regards as like a tabula rasa - a clean slate.

"When creating the video, I was deeply inspired by the music and lyrics of Tabula Rasa. The visual transformation of Björkinto faun-like flowers and mountainous landscapes embodies the utopian concept of a harmonious coexistence between nature and human based on empathy."
