Aurora 'The River' by Nick Walters
This stunning new video from Nick Walters for Aurora explores the suppression of emotion and its ultimate futility.
Using natural imagery and motifs, Walters reinforces the wild and uncontrollable nature of feeling and through several sequences of interpretative dance from Aurora, enhanced by the addition of delicate animation of plants growing around her face, they create a truly cinematic experience for his viewer.
"The suppression of feelings either by you or a third party is ultimately unhealthy both for you and the wider society in which we live. My intention was to amplify these themes, using the motif of tears and transforming the idea into something surreal and provocative whilst using a ‘real-world’ setting."
