The Streets ft. Chip and Grim Sickers 'Call Me In The Morning' by Mike Skinner
Mike Skinner aka The Streets is back, and with this self-directed video for Call Me In The Morning, it's just like old times.
Always a great on-camera performer himself, Skinner also gets just about the strongest performances in a video from his collaborators Chip and Grim Sickers. Meanwhile, his concept is a irreverent take on the classic UKG video: Mike is having a house party around his place, which has a colour scheme that would make a goth squeal with delight.
Everything is black. The food and drink are black. Everyone must dress in black. And only a select few are invited.
Skinner has directed a few videos for other artists over the past couple of years. This one, with excellent cinematography by Spike Morris and sterling art direction by Benny Casey, is a cut above - probably because he's once again front of camera too.
