Calum Scott 'What I Miss Most' by Ozzie Pullin
David Knight - 5th June 2018
Ozzie Pullin's video for Calum Scott chronicles key moments in a life, from boy to young buck to old man - with Calum at the strong centre of everything, wise before his age.
It all starts with the boy about to run away - obeying that first urge to get out from under his mother's wing. And in a very heartfelt way Pullin takes him on a journey through life, but then brings us back to that little boy, and that euphoric moment of arriving back home.
OZZIE PULLIN:
"This was an extremely personal story to me, one that I’ve been wanting to tell for a while. It personifies the feelings I got when I ran away from home at a young age. I only ran away for an hour but it felt like a lifetime.
"Through each stage I wanted to express visually what each moment felt like. The young boy is all about nature, finding the beauty in your surroundings. The teenager is about companionship, who you surround yourself with divides who you are as a character and the elderly man hits home nostalgia, that all is not lost in your later years.
"I wanted this to be a direct reflection of nostalgia, exploring that real sense of magical freedom, but also what it means to be appreciate the value of home.”
