Beirut 'Landslide' by Eoin Glaister
In the vast desert, a medieval knight is having a spot of bother remounting his horse after a fall, in Eoin Glaister’s existential and Quixotic comedy to herald the return of Beirut.
Somebody tie Eoin Glaister to a chair for a few months so that somebody else can have a chance at making music videos. His new clip for Glass Animals proves he's on top form as ever.
The massively surreal clip depicts lovers living on separate floors in a house, who only begin communicating with one another after a misunderstanding with a dog that swallows a TV remote.
Reality is skewed and stretched but this bizarre, cartoonish universe is perfectly realized in these two opposing rooms. With added weirdness from the band's cameo as shopping channel stars and an extended dance sequence involving a 6ft bipedal dog, there's certainly a lot to digest here besides a TV dinner. And a remote.
