Photographer and DP turned director Ricky Patel has delivered this short documentary capturing a glimpse into the daily grind of gold mining in Zimbabwe - doubling up as a music video for London duo Subculture Sage's track Gold.

Presented with an opportunity to document a rare and fascinating but brutally strenuous process, Ricky visited Redchurch, Zimbabwe with Wet Plate photographer Mike Simpson and shot the film to accompany the release of the Subculture Sage's Big Smoke Autumn Blues mixtape.
