Disclosure feat. Gregory Porter 'Holding On' by Ryan Hope
Ryan Hope's video Disclosure's Holding On, featuring velvet-voiced Gregory Porter, is the teasing first part of an ambitious four part video anthology to accompany the duo's forthcoming second album Caracal.
Shot in a Mexico City of the near future, the scene is set on a story of rebellion in the face of the sort of high-tech official surveillance that is ominously feasible, and unveiling a young woman with reluctant psychic powers - including the ability to see the dead.
It's a confident and skilful step into movie-style action thriller territory by Ryan Hope, who has incorporated cutting-edge CGI elements into his cinematic style. He also establishes characters and narrative elements that we can expect to be developed and explained in future chapters.
We already want to know the significance of that tattoo on her right shoulder...
