Japanese rockers Coldrain join forces with filmmaker Stuart Birchall for the promo to new single You Lie, taken from their new album The Revelation. Stuart fuses an exciting performance with a compelling, dark narrative. 

Frontman Masato says: “The video for You Lie focuses on the lyrics. Telling a story of a man losing everything even his on identity because he buried himself in his own lies. Working with Stuart was awesome. He captured the emotion in our performance as well as the intense acting by the extras.”

"Coldrain are a very talented and dedicated band. I had been keen on working with Japanese artists for a while so when they approached me offering me a blank canvas i was very interested, allowing me to explore the darker sentiments of the lyrics.

"I developed a short film concept and along with Jamie Whymark (Kode Media) and Maeve O Connell (DOP) we really pushed the project, building sets and working on concept design. Working with the very talented Mark Fleishman as the lead role and Antonio Lieonart on prosthetics we really went for something distinct and original.

"Alex Dunn handled the post production and i feel we really achieved something special on a very enjoyable project, working with a talented and resourceful team as always makes for a successful project".
