The stunning parade of imagery in Jonas & Francois's spectacular video for Jack White's Lazaretto includes a screeching Corvette, a seriously raging bull, lots of exploding digital glass and, of course, Jack and his very awesome guitar-playing.

It all adds up to a triumph: more commercial, yet more rock 'n roll than any video he's previously done. And it feels like a proper statement of intent. Jack may have quickly apologised for leaked comments about the Black Keys owing their sound to The White Stripes this past week, but this takes on all-comers, designed to destroy all pretenders to his crown. Jack is most certainly back.
