The Scruff 'Policeman' by Javier Alejandro
David Knight - 23rd Apr 2014
Javier Alejandro's video for the effervescent three-piece indie band The Scruff's track Policeman is a very watchable comic narrative that mirrors the song's subject matter - a young drug-dealer's run-ins with the long arm of the law.
In the video, the drug dealer's paranoia gets the better of him - while the band act as his omniscient conscience, observing the young man from inside his television screen.
The Policeman video also demonstrates the versatility of an up-and-coming director previously known for his hip-hop videos for the likes of Krept & Konan.
