Not so much a music video as an ongoing project by filmmaker Jessie Kanda with the musician Arca, TRAUMA is planned as a set of films telling a non-linear story (about "the death of a salaryman the death of a salaryman, a drunk driving infant and takes place within a subconscious world") which will span through Arca's existing and future works.

Scene 1 depicts a trio of disfigured children locked in synchronised dance - an image to sear the eyeballs. And although Jesse is an experienced animator, this is achieved (mostly) in live action. 

The whole film - which will be shown in its entirety in gallery spaces around the world over the course of the year - promises to be quite an experience.
