Raleigh Ritchie 'Stronger Than Ever' by Ninian Doff
Ninian Doff's first video since Mykki Blanco's The Initiation early last year (he's been busy making commercials ever since) is an entertaining, if slightly disturbing debut video for new artist Raleigh Ritchie, which once again demonstrates Ninian's mastery of visual effects.
It's a very ordinary situation made extraordinary to reflect the sense of desolation and grim determination in Raleigh's song Stronger Than Ever. Sitting on a park bench with his coffee, he starts being pushed by a storm-force wind - but it affects only him, not the woman sitting next to him, or anyone else.
This metaphor of intense solitary struggle is executed to perfection, with SFX team Paradigm Effects and Pinewood-based Extreme Rigging involved in creating East London wind tunnel experience.
