Winston Hacking, the king of collage, now embraces the technique of photogrammetry, collaborating with Michael Enzbrunner on this video for Animal Collective.The video for We Go Back - from Time Skiffs, the first studio album by&nbsp;Animal Collective&nbsp;in more than half a decade -&nbsp;takes us through a distinct arrangement of random&nbsp;visual elements, as is a hallmark of much of Winston Hacking's work. But unlike earlier videos where he has used cut-out 2D art and collage as his practice,&nbsp;here he employs photogrammetry -&nbsp;the process that involves taking overlapping photographs of an object, structure or space and converting them into 2D or 3D digital models.Collaborating with Enzbrunner on the direction, and&nbsp;Chuck Diep on the photogrammetry, the style works well in visualizing&nbsp;Animal Collective's&nbsp;eery and somewhat disembodied version of classic pop.&nbsp;&nbsp;"It was a thrill to work with Animal Collective - they trusted our sense of play and commitment to spontaneity which is mirrored in their sound," says Hacking. "The video is composed of scanned locations, miniature sets and collage cutouts that embrace the lo-fi 3D aesthetic inherent in photogrammetry."

This time, with the help of Andrew Zuckerman,&nbsp;the Montreal-based animator&nbsp;has mined the impressive&nbsp;Prelinger Archive of free stock film for footage to create some cool, lo-fi, living collages to accompany Shauf&#39;s Worst In You.The blend of images creates some truly surreal scenes &ndash; reminiscent of the work of artist <a href="http://www.kalenhollomon.com/">Kalen Hollomon</a>&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;executed here with a rhythmic panache.

Canadian indie folk artist Andy Shauf has released wistful beauty in the form of a&nbsp;cut-out animated video by&nbsp;Winston Hacking for&nbsp;The Magician. Delicate arrangements of mid-20th century&nbsp;printed imagery create&nbsp;psychedelic nostalgia in a video that goes hand-in-hand with a stirring Beatles-esque&nbsp;track.Shauf explained, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve realized over the past little while that when you are working with someone else, you have to let them realize their own artistic vision and work within their own tastes.
