Wash has&nbsp;announced the appointment of Chris Bell as senior colourist at the London-based colour and VFX studio.Bell arrives at Wash with him an extensive body of work, for a wide variety of clients across both short and long form projects - including Ferrari, National Geographic, Swarovski – to music heavyweights like Dave.Outside of the darkness of the grading suite, Bell is a renowned outdoors type:&nbsp;he’s a rugby nut, a keen cyclist and is very at home noodling around his garden, which provides the perfect backdrop to boast his outdoor cooking skills learned in the BBQ states of America: Texas and New Orleans.Jon Dobson, Wash's founder &amp; lead colourist says:&nbsp;"It’s the start of an exciting chapter ahead here at Wash, with new team members, clients and projects. Chris is a fantastic addition to the colour team here and is settling in nicely. Colin Solal Cardo follows his <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/11/21/kimbra-replay-colin-solal-cardo/79358">hypnotic promo for Kimbra</a> with something much more down to Earth, in this breezy, uplifting&nbsp;piece&nbsp;for&nbsp;Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.&nbsp;The video for Easy Now features Milly Alcock (of&nbsp;House Of Dragons fame), and sees her character move from despair to euphoria, as she tears up the streets of London.Watched over by Gallagher himself - who chills on the sidelines, in a brief yet very welcome cameo - the video is anchored by a wonderful performance from Alcock, as she jumps on cars, disrupts groups of pigeons and eventually does a victorious run down the middle of the road, full of glee.&nbsp;A poignant concept which cements the fact that music has the ability to transcend, elevate and pull you out of yourself on the darkest of days.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Thea Gajic&nbsp;directs a heartwarming promo for singer-songwriter Mychelle.The video opens with a single dad - played by Michael Balogun -&nbsp;juggling the cooking and washing up on his birthday, appreciative of the well wishes via text message, but obviously lacking the social excitement he is longing for.That all changes when his friends shop up and throw a surprise birthday party, helping lift the mood and celebrate the day the way it should be. It's a simple concept done well, and offers an optimistic and joyful message. Plus what we all need right now... a&nbsp;happy ending.Thea Gajic explains that her idea for the video was the result of combining two separate briefs that Mychelle had in mind. "We wanted joy to be a through thread of the video to match the feeling the song evokes while also leaning into the lyrics - which actually have a more sombre meaning," she says.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"I wanted to focus on community and the joy we create when we show up for each other - amidst this though, we can still feel quite lonely. Especially if we are going through a transition period. I spoke to Michael, our lead, about imagining if this was the first birthday he was celebrating without his partner - as a single dad - and what feelings they may evoke."I have a lot of close male friends - lots who are fathers too - and so wanted to explore that narrative as opposed to it always being a single mother situation. How do men deal with parenting pressure? And feelings of aloneness? It’s something we either don’t see or don’t feel they have a right to because of how hard mothering might be. I wanted to dip into that a little and see what came out of it.&nbsp;"In the end though, when Michael sees his son asleep - he realises he isn’t actually alone and a piece of him is with him all the time - despite how difficult things might get. Ultimately, the tightrope he is on, isn’t walked on alone."&nbsp;

Viral TikTok track Jiggle Jiggle gets an unexpected music video treatment from Stanley Brock.&nbsp;Louis Theroux is one of our great documentary filmmakers - but I don't think any of us expected him to be the lead artist in a music video.&nbsp;This all changed when Duke &amp; Jones transformed his iconic Jiggle Jiggle rap - first seen on an episode of&nbsp;Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends in 2000 - into a catchy pop track.&nbsp;The video is a warm, celebratory affair, with Theroux and Dimz (Chicken Shop&nbsp;Date's Amelia Dimoldenberg) cruising around town, stopping to drink some wine at a café and&nbsp;get some dinner at a 'drive-Theroux'. And the appearance of Jason Derulo, with his beaming smile beamed in from LA, is the icing on the cake.&nbsp;Matching the idiosyncratic nature of the track, its a brilliant visual with plenty of comedic - and downright unusual - moments.&nbsp;

Ama Lou self-directs the&nbsp;promo for Same Old Ways, where contrary to the title of the song, tradition gets a welcome makeover.&nbsp;In the video - made in collaboration with The North Face -&nbsp;we follow the induction of two inner city kids (Ama&nbsp;and her friend) on their first day of boarding school. At the start, the viewer is set up to anticipate the worst for the pupils as they enter a daunting environment. But instead, they are welcomed with open arms, having a great time taking&nbsp;part in some classic old English boarding school activities.&nbsp;Excitable and celebratory,&nbsp;the video - shot by Ama's sister Mahalia John - is full of feelgood vibes, and the breathtaking setting is an excellent location for the camaraderie to ensue.&nbsp;

A fun affair begins at a funfair in this charming video for Spanish '80s disco-boogie nugget, Marengo's Puente De Esperanza, featuring dancers Anna Engerström and Wing Yue Leung.Directed by Denise Moreno, it's an engaging&nbsp;dance film, choreographed by Engerström and wonderfully shot by&nbsp;Jan Vrhovnik on 16mm.&nbsp;The pair find each other by the crowded merry-go-round, and their romance plays out in&nbsp;movement as the now-deserted funfair becomes their personal playground.Their only company comes from the distracted occupant&nbsp;of the ticket booth -&nbsp;watching a video from the '80s on his portable TV. That's a nod to&nbsp;the era when the track&nbsp;was originally released - in 1986 - and&nbsp;Marengo's Puente De Esperanza is now the debut single&nbsp;from Soundway Records' classy compilation, Ritmo Fantasía: Balearic Spanish Synth-Pop, Boogie and House (1982-1992).
