JP Cooper reflects on past heartache in Calum Macdiarmid's video for In These Arms.&nbsp;Sat in the front seat of an abandoned car, JP is trapped in a lonely reality reflecting on&nbsp;memories of a better time. His partner sits in the other seat, within touching distance physically but emotionally in a whole separate world.&nbsp;Flashbacks to a better time, where the couple are kissing, embracing and sharing tender moments are intercut with the overwhelming negativity of the present situation.&nbsp;&nbsp;Calum Macdiarmid balances the light and dark of a relationship that, once filled with joy and affection, is beginning to feel loveless and claustrophobic. Building up to a climactic ending, it is both dramatic and affecting, and a beautiful interpretation of the&nbsp;music.&nbsp;

Liam Payne takes to the coast in Similar But Different's video for Live Forever.&nbsp;Shot across the Isle of Wight and Dorset, Payne is unphased by the British weather as he echoes James Bond, climbing out of the freezing water in his underwear and posing topless in high winds. Joined by a handful of friends in one scene, he&nbsp;drifts around an empty car park whilst hanging out of a car window, letting his metaphorical hair down and enjoying the spontaneity and uncertainty that life brings. None of us can live forever so why not have fun whilst we're here?&nbsp;Favouring abstract shots and fashion film style montages, the directing duo (made up of&nbsp;Dani Girdwood &amp;&nbsp;Charlotte Fassler) present a fresh aesthetic for Payne that is&nbsp;rugged and masculine, but appealing to all audiences.&nbsp;

Joe Connor heralds the return of Mumford &amp; Sons by capturing a real&nbsp;event and transforming it into a beautifully-crafted music video.The band invited a couple of hundred fans to the banks of the Thames, to listen and sing along to Guiding Light, the first track released from Mumfords&#39; new album Delta. Then the band set up in front of Tate Modern to perform the song.In a multi-camera shoot,&nbsp;superbly edited by Chris Roebuck, Connor captures the genuine joy and warmth, and bond between band and audience,&nbsp;at a very special communal gathering.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The story of a relationship played out entirely on London public transport, Sophie Muller&#39;s video for Wolf Alice follows a familiar path from the initial meeting and mutual attraction onwards. But this ends up somewhere less expected.Don&#39;t Delete The Kisses is a real treat. This becomes less about the dramatic arc, and more about the characters - there are outstanding performances here from the lead actors Chelsea&nbsp;Edge and Jack Anderson &ndash; which leaves much more for the viewer to think about. It&#39;s brought together in a marvellous edit by Muller with Owen Oppenheimer. And overall it&#39;s so absorbing, you will probably not be thinking how they figured out how to shoot this.&nbsp;What&#39;s more, it also happens to be Sophie Muller&#39;s first ever video that does not feature the artist. That makes it a landmark as big as any in London. &nbsp;

Shot in a tiny, claustrophobia-inducing flat and paired with&nbsp;some killer&nbsp;art direction, this&nbsp;video for Slaves&#39; track Sockets is a&nbsp;wonderfully&nbsp;greasy and zany&nbsp;stop-motion piece directed by Ciaran Lyons.Lyons himself plays&nbsp;the lead character, a sweaty, fidgety&nbsp;mess of a man stuck in front of his telly,&nbsp;undergoing some&nbsp;sort of nervous breakdown. Delirious and frightened, arms emerge from behind corners,&nbsp;threatening to suck his energy in strange, nightmarish ways.&nbsp;

It&#39;s a deliciously entertaining and&nbsp;enlightening&nbsp;idea, shot in three real shops in North East London, and&nbsp;directed with aplomb by Lucy Luscombe, adding a pop video spin to her recognised&nbsp;talent for more serious fare.&nbsp;
