The song demanded it, so&nbsp;Ben Falk, Kano and their DoP Tom Turley travelled the length and breadth&nbsp;of his home country&nbsp;on a five-day, 1000-plus mile road trip,&nbsp;to&nbsp;bring Kano&#39;s rich portrait that is This Is England to vibrant life.From Land&#39;s End to Hadrian&#39;s Wall &ndash; via&nbsp;East London, Cheddar&nbsp;Gorge,&nbsp;Liverpool,&nbsp;Blackpool and Newcastle &ndash; the video sets Kano&#39;s&nbsp;impassioned performance in England as he sees it: the pubs, arcades, raves, trailer parks, caffs,&nbsp;sea shores, tea houses, football pitches, dog races, graffiti, train journeys, and much more.Then editor Ryan Beck had the challenging task of turning the documentary footage into a music video, and has done an excellent job.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Narrative is deemed unnecessary with a track as emotive as Alex Banks&#39; All You Could Do,&nbsp;as the viewer is taken on a journey from house lights to&nbsp;spinning lights - the&nbsp;moody still-lives portray and match the moody vocals from Elizabeth Bernholz.&nbsp;Light ties the still-lives together giving an incredibly subjective visual. Take from it what you will, as the subject is vague yet inviting.

MIles Bingham, who made an uplifting&nbsp;debut video for Silent Devices&#39; Una a few months back has followed up for another low budget video for an unsigned band, Red Drapes&#39; Dirty Windows. But as the name of the song suggests, this one is more downbeat.The song is all about being stuck in rubbish, dead-end jobs &ndash; so we see various men slumped in deep depression, heads sunk under their arms,&nbsp;while the tops of&nbsp;their heads are singing the track.Miles clearly knows a lot of baldies &ndash; and it is&nbsp;an idea that sustains throughout, so long as you appreciate a certain&nbsp;type of English&nbsp;misanthropy.

'Demon Days' is a fabulous short focusing on the work of inventive super-chef Alvin Leung for culture mega-blog NOWNESS. It's a astounding array of incredible short shots and the effect is terrific. The film features top DoP David Procter putting Ryan's alien, culinary visuals into reality.
Ryan says: "The 'Demon Chef' project was always going to be a challenge to make, as with all my work I prefer to shoot everything 'in camera' and as this is hard in photography, its even more difficult in film. I believe shooting everything 'in camera' brings another dimension to the work that CGI can't bring. I met with Thomas Petherick (set designer) and David Procter (DoP) to discuss what I wanted to achieve. 
"There was lots of plans, drawings and ideas on techniques, cameras to use and how we can make sure everything is kept abstract. So working with macro lenses to play with object sizes, chemicals, explosives, blow torches, inks, speakers and blenders we set out to create an abstract World that referenced the importance of creativity, innovation, science &amp; food culture. From burning meat to look like meteorites, dripping liquid metal on to pineapple's to making steaks look like mountain ranges and creating Universes in blenders."

Miles Bingham's delightful video for Silent Devices' Una starts out in familiarly gritty Britfilm territory with a homeless old man searching out rubbish bins and skips for food and other people's trash. But it becomes something else entirely - a scifi comedy fantasy - as his true mission becomes clear, to escape his earthly problems in spectacular fashion...
It's Miles Bingham's directing debut - he's more usually occupied as an ad creative at JWT in London - after he was put in touch with Silent Devices through mutual friends. Both Miles and the band are from Leicester, and another Leicester native Lee Veasey produced the video, which was shot over two weekends in Hackney Wick and Watford. Chris Green plays the inventive hermit - and Silent Devices also put in a cameo appearance.
