Joseph Wilson heads to Margate to create a Super 8mm-shot melodrama inspired by&nbsp;Anna Nicole Smith, in the video for indie-pop combo Autoheart.With a narrative inspired by the late Anna Nicole Smith’s relationship with 89 year old J. Howard Marshall when she was in her mid-20s, the video for Juggernaut features 'Fancy Shews!', aka drag performer Georgie B, as 'Vicky', who disconsolately wanders through the English seaside resort clutching an urn of ashes of her boyfriend - played (in flashback scenes) by 90 year old Margate legend Maurice Morris.Wilson's association with Georgie B stems from them both working as drag performers, performing at Queer club nights including&nbsp;Sink the Pink&nbsp;and The NYC Downlow&nbsp;at Glastonbury. Wilson got his start as a&nbsp;director documenting East London's eclectic&nbsp;Queer club scene - his inaugural documentary project Drag is my Ecstasy, was an acclaimed portrait of underground drag collective ‘Sink the Pink - and&nbsp;Georgie worked as stylist on the previous Wilson-directed video for Autoheart. According to Wilson, she was always going to be the star of this one.[imgtoken data:1]“When I was approached by Autoheart to direct the video for Juggernaut, they had only one request: base the storyline around Georgie B aka Fancy Shews! She had done the styling for our last collaboration for the I Know That He Loves Me&nbsp;video in 2021 and they had become fans."I’ve performed with Georgie for the past 10 years at Queer club nights&nbsp;and most recently travelled to Australia to perform in a cabaret about a failing 18th Century Mollie House with our Drag Mum, A Man To Pet. Georgie played Princess Seraphina and had size ZZ boobs… the biggest breastplate size you can get! We joked about using them for the video but it actually became the starting point to the idea. A few days later the plot came together."'I knew that we would set each other free’ was a line that felt like it needed a good juxtaposition, which led me to think of Anna Nicole Smith who married 89-year-old J. Howard Marshall when she was 26. I spoke to the band about the idea and we started researching Anna Nicole and the way she and many famous women are vilified in the media. We agreed on the idea and ‘Vicky’ - Anna Nicole Smith’s real name was Vickie Lynn Hogan -&nbsp;was born."We did some make up tests with MUA Guy Common and played around with some forehead prosthetics and enhanced cheekbones. I wanted Vicky to appear demonic – a literal manifestation of the demonisation of women. He was so wonderful to work with and feel really privileged to have met him. He was completely speechless when he first saw Georgie as Vicky! Throughout her life people doubted Anna Nicole’s feelings for Marshall, assuming she was a gold digger, and she was constantly asked about it."She was judged, ridiculed and abused for the way she looked. She always said she loved Marshall, despite the age difference, and that he was the only man who ever made her feel loved. ‘I feel euphoric in your arms tonight/As I’m magnified, I feel alive’. Isn’t that what we’re all looking for?”

He is the latest addition at the post-production company, following Senior Colourist Myles Bevan, who joined last month.&nbsp;With teams in both London and New York, Studio RM&nbsp;specialises in colour-grading and finishing, and is renowned&nbsp;for its work&nbsp;across fashion, beauty and luxury, and its high-end approach. Studio RM have announced that award-winning colourist Myles Bevan has joined the company as Senior Colourist.Myles joins&nbsp;Studio RM&nbsp;having worked at Time Based Arts for the last seven years, where he developed his craft under the mentorship of Simone Grattarola. In that time, he has&nbsp;cultivated a diverse portfolio across fashion, advertising and music videos, where he has become&nbsp;one of the most popular colourists working in London.His extensive portfolio of work in music videos in the past year or so includes a trilogy of videos for Rina Sawayama directed by Ali Kurr, videos by Samuel Douek for Little Mix and Yonaka, Elliott Gonzo-directed videos for Meduza and Enter Shikari, Frank Lebon's UKMVA-winning video for Pretty Sick's Human Condition, and many more.His fashion film work includes campaigns for&nbsp;for Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Levi’s, and Gucci. Alasdair McLellan recasts the post-industrial landscapes of England as a gorgeous&nbsp;dreamworld in his inimitable style&nbsp;for Saint Etienne's Pond House. It was his move to Studio RM nearly a decade ago that prompted the change to grading for moving image, and now the impeccable attention to detail he brings to his work has made him a sought-after colourist&nbsp;among a number of established and emerging filmmakers.Jamie has worked on more than 80 films with&nbsp;fashion photographer and director Alasdair McLellan, for commercial clients (including Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Miu Miu), editorial titles (like Vogue Italia, LOVE), music videos (including The xx, Sam Smith) and personal projects. What were you doing before this? l have been at Studio RM for almost ten years. I was a stills retoucher first and the studio supported my ambition to become a colourist.What was your first job, or first significant break in the industry? My first job was as a runner at a studio in Tottenham Court Road. I worked my way up through the company, doing colour and black and white photographic printing and developing film negatives. My big break was getting into digital creative services as a creative retoucher in the early ’90s while the industry was in its infancy.<blockquote>[I became]&nbsp;a creative retoucher in the early ’90s while the industry was in its infancy.</blockquote>Name one music video that inspired you before your career started? I can name a few, but the one that made an early impression on me was David Bowie's video for Ashes to Ashes. It was for the music documentary about James Lavelle called The Man From Mo’Wax. It was my first feature-length grade, on a tight deadline, and it taught me many new skills needed to get content from studio to cinema screen, as well as how to be efficient with my time and manage people.I worked closely with the director Matthew Jones, who wanted the film to have a natural look because it used a lot of home footage shot by James Lavelle himself, but wanted to subtly enhance the reds and blues where possible, because those were the Mo Wax label colours.[vidtoken data:1]What are your favourite music video-related jobs of the past year or so (2 or 3 different ones, ideally) , and why? I’ve always enjoyed working on music videos with longtime collaborator Alasdair McLellan. Our most recent collaboration was for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/01/18/sam-smith-kids-again-alasdair-mclellan/72147" target="_blank">Sam Smith's Kids Again</a> - it was shot on film so it has a lovely natural look and feel about it.[vidtoken data:2]<blockquote>I’ve always enjoyed working on music videos with longtime collaborator&nbsp;Alasdair McLellan.</blockquote>I just finished another project with Alasdair too, his first film. It accompanies Saint Etienne’s new album&nbsp;I’ve Been Trying To Tell You, and is a film made up of other films, about memories. It can be viewed as a whole film, or watched track-by-track. When the album is released in September, the film will be shown in the BFI cinema on Southbank a few days after.[vidtoken data:3]During the first lockdown I worked on a project for Griff’s Forgive Myself&nbsp;music video; because of the lockdown restrictions, Griff shot it herself at home, directed remotely by Imogen &amp; Riccardo @isstudioworld. The video and grade has a lo-fi quality that I really like.[vidtoken data:4]Working with co-directors Sophia &amp; Robert on <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/02/25/biffy-clyro-instant-history-sophia-robert/63467" target="_blank">Biffy Clyro’s Instant History</a>&nbsp;music video was another standout. It was a hectic edit to go with the music, so the grade was similar, mixing many different looks and styles.[vidtoken data:5]What are your favourite other jobs of the past year or so? A recent project with Steve Mackey for Perfect Magazine and Gucci called <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_svDQbBa2wEg8e_4kMmJgcucHqnJDIdS" target="_blank">Notes From the Underground</a>. It brings together 10 short films of 10 different musicians. Steve Mackey directed four of the videos, and the rest were shot by the musicians themselves.I love the diversity of artistic voices it incorporates. 10 very different musical and visual styles, all of which were a real pleasure to work on.[vidtoken data:6]What are you currently working on? Rebecca Lucy Taylor aka Self Esteem, gives a great performance of The Best in an intriguing setting - among the artworks of the&nbsp;Proudick&nbsp;exhibition that ran&nbsp;in London from November to January.The <a href="https://garage.vice.com/en_us/article/qvqjx7/proudick">Proudick</a>&nbsp;show was a collaboration between artists&nbsp;Paloma Proudfoot and Lindsey Mendick, and&nbsp;Taylor also took part in a performance evening at the show in November, which culminated in&nbsp;a hot dog-eating contest. Piers Dennis directs her around the art pieces, starting and finishing in one of the twin beds in the show inspired by Tracy Emin.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
