And then he embarks upon a remarkable ritual in Joe Wheatley's mesmerising new video for TV Priest.Shot by eminent DoP Kristof Brandl, and featuring a stunning peformance by TV Priest frontman Charlie Drinkwater as the wounded knight, Wheatley has drawn on&nbsp;the sense of weariness and smouldering fury in the song One Easy Thing with an unlikely scenario that radiates cinematic gravitas.There is great filmmaking craft at work here. Brandl bringing his unmistakeable skill to bear on this gloomy, pain-ridden world, shooting on black and white film&nbsp;to create amazing images. Wheatley and Drinkwater, working for the third time following the TV Priest videos for Decoration and Press Gang, give the dying knight's last moments&nbsp;transcendent meaning.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Arlo Parks's first new song since the release of her hugely successful debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams comes with a luminous visual by directing duo Zhang + Knight - their first&nbsp;music video since <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/01/14/london-grammar-lose-your-head-zhang-knight/68950" target="_blank">London Grammar's Lose Your Head</a> a year ago.For Softly -&nbsp;a song about "how fragile you feel in the dying days of a relationship when you’re still desperately in love" according to Parks -&nbsp;the directing team create a version of&nbsp;the real world which slowly unravels, layer by layer.What initially looks like an idealised, picture perfect&nbsp;location is gradually decontructed. The early sense of the singer being in a mid-century studio movie or musical is gradually undercut, as the staging is revealed and comes apart at the seams, leaving the constituent elements floating in surreal space.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The marvel is that like their previous successful works for Eden and aforementioned London Grammar, everything is created in-camera - in this case at a film studio in Kiev."For us 'Softly' explored the idea of wanting something that was once perfect to end in a gentle way, and we wanted to express this using the world surrounding Arlo," explain Zhang and Knight. "We were instinctively drawn to the warm toned, hazy nostalgia of the 1960's, as we loved the idea of something universally romantic being slowly stripped away throughout the film."We based the colours of the bricks, trims and doors on mid-century painting in order to bake this romanticism into everything. The production itself was a huge challenge, as everything was captured in-camera with each piece of the set built on wheels operated by several production crew. However, we knew it was all worth it when we saw the skyscrapers dancing around Arlo for the first time."

A mesmerising promo by Rei Nadal at Prettybird for Georgia Twinn's track Moth.&nbsp;Intercutting night vision setups with a handful of dynamic vignettes, the focus is purely on performance, and Twinn is in her element.&nbsp;&nbsp;"It's about needing space.” Twinn explains. “You know when someone you’re dating is that bit too clingy? That’s pretty much my inspiration for the track. I was in a relationship and needed some space but wasn’t getting it and so Moth&nbsp;was born. It has a lot of attitude and I just wanna shout the lyrics as loud as I can.”Visualising this yearning for space, we see the artist hanging from the ceiling and leaning right in close to the camera, adopting a series of unique perspectives to create a sense of suffocating unease.&nbsp;“It was really fun to collaborate with Georgia as she was into the music videos I grew up with, so we had a common visual language between us," explains&nbsp;Rei Nadal."And it was also a pleasure to work with [Twinn's creative director]&nbsp;Courtney MC, whose attention to detail really elevated the aesthetics on screen.” &nbsp;

Zhang &amp; Knight's video for&nbsp;Meryem Aboulouafa establishes a distinctive mood all of its own - part-Arabic, part-surrealist - to create a wonderfully evocative video for the Moroccan singer-songwriter's song Deeply.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The staging&nbsp;is a stylish set, based on an architecture&nbsp;of courtyards and quadrangles found in North Africa and across the Mediterranean,&nbsp;rendered in serene pastel shades. But within the quadrangle, crowded with people, there is another square&nbsp; - a hole into which dancers teeter and then fall...&nbsp;&nbsp;Aboulouafa is the elegant centre in this haunting&nbsp;scenario, who eventually looks into the hole and reveals its otherworldly secret.
