Jason Koenig channels our collective visual memory bank&nbsp;of Christmas Past to create this spectacular, celeb-studded video for Ed and Sir Elton's new Christmas classic of the future.&nbsp;&nbsp;The video for Merry Christmas starts with the pair performing in a festive fireside scene, and then moves seamlessly to a succession of classic seasonal scenarios.With lots of affection and a touch of irreverence, they&nbsp;pay homage to some memorable Christmas videos - including&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wNhdjoF-6M" target="_blank">the East 17 one</a>,&nbsp;with the help from some famous friends -&nbsp;and Ed gets to recreate the flying scene in&nbsp;The Snowman. All leading to a very big climax.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]It remains to be seen if Merry Christmas stands the test of time&nbsp;like <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbRtGMm96F8" target="_blank">Elton's Christmas hit of 1974</a>. But Jason Koenig, who has directed some of Ed Sheeran's most-watched videos including the multi-billion viewed Shape Of You, has returned to direct one of the biggest British videos of the year.And it's for a couple of good causes.&nbsp;Profits from this year’s Christmas period will go to the Ed Sheeran <a href="https://www.essmf.com" target="_blank">Suffolk Music Foundation</a>, and the <a href="https://www.eltonjohnaidsfoundation.org" target="_blank">Elton John AIDS Foundation</a>.<div>&nbsp;</div>

Chris Saunders celebrates a decade of Little Dragon in the video for Where You Belong.&nbsp;Utilising over ten years of documentation, shot by the band and filmmaker Pether Lindgren, the footage was collected and curated over a two month period, and edited during the restrictions of lockdown.&nbsp;Spanning a multitude of memories and snapshots of everyday moments, the visual is interweaved with a new live performance, that was remotely directed by Saunders.&nbsp;The edit style is high-energy and colourful, layering footage in quirky and unique ways. A spattering of lo-fi VFX and rotoscoping creates an artistic and abstract aesthetic, that works perfectly within the celebratory concept. It's intended to feel fragmented, as if within the mind's eye of the band members, and takes us through a visceral replay of Little Dragon's story and memories.

Wendy Morgan summons high art and street dance to capture the allure of Brussels-based Congolese artist Lous, for her El Guincho-produced debut Dilemme.Focusing on formations and composition, we see Lous and her backup artists in a variety of different settings, creating&nbsp;the same shapes and choreography in each one. Juxtaposing high fashion historical concepts, complete with palacial interiors and true to era wardrobe, with the raw energy of the street, the clash of ideas is a whirlwind of fashion and beautiful cinematography&nbsp;by Joel Honeywell.&nbsp;Lous does great work as she maintains a subdued yet emotional performance, and the frenetic and experimental energy of the Yakuza provides a balance to the action. The makeup and hair are suitably anachronistic, blending ideas from older time periods with futuristic fantasy, and the maximalist approach really pays off here. A marvellous&nbsp;introduction to an intriguing new artist.

With Rudimental and Major Lazer&#39;s anthemic collaboration Let Me Live about to take over our summer, South African photographer and director Chris Saunders provide the fantastic blockbuster video that the dancehall-inspired track&nbsp;deserves.As the song is a global alliance of music artists in the UK (Rudimental and guest singer Anne-Marie) the US (Major Lazer) and Africa (Nigerian rapper Mr Eazi), Saunders has created a brilliantly vibrant video that pinballs between London and Johannesburg.[imgtoken data:1]And in the South African section in particular, Saunders stages a remarkable show of colour, choreography and characer: some of the most talented dancers in South Africa provide a heart-surging display of music, dance, fashion and street culture, in an underpass of Jo&#39;burg&#39;s M2 motorway. It&#39;s dazzling, and as lead performer, Anne-Marie doesn&#39;t disappoint either - she&nbsp;is completely wrapped up in the moment too.&nbsp;Saunders, who is based between Johannesburg and Paris,&nbsp;has spent years researching and documenting South African dance and performance culture. He has revealed&nbsp;that&nbsp;the choreography for the Let Me Live video was designed to showcase the dancers&rsquo; original work.&ldquo;These dancers are often asked to work within pre-existing choreographies and set pieces,&rdquo; says Saunders. &ldquo;This was an opportunity to collaborate with the highest-level African performers on original choreography in a more consultative and respectful way.&rdquo;
