Sam Smith reunites with Luke Monaghan in a triumphant comeback for&nbsp;Love Me More.The song is all about the singer being more comfortable in their self, and Monaghan - who has directed more&nbsp;Sam Smith videos than anyone else - allows that feeling to seep through the course of the film in both a direct and evocative fashion.After a prelude listening to a&nbsp;phone machine voice message from an old friend who craves to meet up with them, Sam heads out into the day with a spring in their step - in a street scene reminiscent of one of their early videos.The introduction of a supporting cast is done through a break from the course of the narrative - conceptual set-ups and portrait shots of Sam's 'gang' from the LGBTQ+ community&nbsp;- before they all come together on the dancefloor.Monaghan keeps things interesting and affectionate throughout, never deviating from a positive and joyous mood. That's anchored&nbsp;by Sam's radiant performance. This dovetails really nicely with a song which has a tinge of gospel revivalism about it.Sam Smith is definitely back - and so is Luke Monaghan.&nbsp;

And the choice to bring in choreographer&nbsp;Holly Blakey is an inspired one, resulting in movements that encapsulate the emotional rollercoaster of the narrative.&nbsp;

Orelsan gets introspective in&nbsp;Fantômes, directed by Luke Monaghan.&nbsp;Dark and stylish, the video centres around a group of residents all staring up at an accommodation block, where Orelsan is confined to his room as he performs. Lyrically dealing with friends and acquaintances who have become ghosts in his life, the haunting vibe stretches to the outdoors, where he appears with a group of silhouettes who back up his frenetic performance.&nbsp;Interesting aesthetically, the visual is a great match to the track and does well in representing the sombre tone of the new album.&nbsp;

After his emotional video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/07/15/dermot-kennedy-outnumbered-luke-monaghan/61669" target="_blank">Dermot Kennedy's Outnumbered</a>,&nbsp;released during&nbsp;the summer, Luke Monaghan does a similarly powerful, beautifully crafted job for young London singer Hamzaa.Monaghan visualises her song Write It Down as the story of a subdued teenage girl (possibly a younger version of Hamzaa) who is wedded to the journal in which she pours her heart and soul. And that causes a tension within her family.In a world of softly-lit domestic interiors, and nighttime&nbsp;exteriors, shot by Harry Wheeler, Hamzaa herself is captured performing in commonplace London locations - a bus stop, a park - like an slightly removed observer of the unfolding narrative.And in the girl's story, there is eventually a break in the tension - perhaps unexpected, but&nbsp;an authentic expression of Hamzaa's own story.

Luke Monaghan presents an old school New York hiphop video with a distinctive cinematic edge for Flatbush Zombies, and it makes compelling viewing.It begins with a body in a deserted carpark at night - it&#39;s the title sequence for Headstone. Then comes what appears to be the flashback: the Zombies in their car, with their homies, on the street. It&#39;s dark and it&#39;s steamy, and it delivers so well on its preformance premise you cannot take your eyes off it.Special mention should go to the DoP Maceo Bishop, for his exceptional nighttime cinematography. It&#39;s one of the best shot videos of the year so far - with a great grade too by Ricky Sausis. But Monaghan deserves the biggest plaudits, for making the Flatbush Zombies the movie stars of their own video.

And&nbsp;not surprisingly, it&#39;s emotional.Sam Smith&#39;s heartfelt performance is intercut with dramatic vignettes, all variations on the main theme: the pain of saying goodbye. The strength&nbsp;of the performances - this was filmed with a combination of actors and non-actors - is underlined by the settings, and its resolutely British feel.Smith is an&nbsp;international pop star who wants to keep it authentic, and once again finds a worthy partner in&nbsp;Monaghan to achieve that.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Sam Smith&#39;s theme for the latest James Bond film&nbsp;Spectre&nbsp;has been released with this ultra-slick&nbsp;video by&nbsp;Luke Monaghan,&nbsp;featuring exclusive clips from the film as well as cinematic shots of the singer performing on&nbsp;some of the&nbsp;film&#39;s most stunning locations in Rome.Editor Paul O&rsquo;Reilly was forced to relocate&nbsp;to Pinewood Studios&nbsp;in order to edit the video, due to the security surrounding&nbsp;the movie, released later this month.&nbsp;O&#39;Reilly was required to&nbsp;complete all his work at the&nbsp;studios,&nbsp;and the film footage had to stay on site for the duration.&nbsp;&ldquo;Obviously there was incredibly tight security on the footage we were given,&rdquo; says Paul&nbsp;O&rsquo;Reilly, based at Stitch Editing and Homespun.&nbsp;&ldquo;Initially we were only provided with the footage from the official trailer to make the first&nbsp;cut. However we were given the unexpected but wonderful privilege of meeting Sam Mendez and&nbsp;Barbara Brocolli. We were all understandably nervous for them to view our work but they were&nbsp;lovely - really positive about our ideas - and after a pitch with them and their production team they&nbsp;granted us an additional forty&nbsp;minutes of footage&nbsp;to help support the narrative of the music video.&rdquo;The footage provided had a limited amount of frames per shot, so&nbsp;had to be carefully curated to slot into the music video, without revealing too much of the film&rsquo;s plot.&ldquo;The extra footage gave us an opportunity to intertwine moments that really spoke to the narrative&nbsp;of the song and Luke&rsquo;s footage. It&rsquo;s been an amazing project to work on. An unforgettable&nbsp;experience, with some rather&nbsp;unforgettable rushes!&rdquo;
