Luke Monaghan signs to Black Dog Films UK
Luke Monaghan, whose music video credits include acclaimed videos for Sam Smith, Disclosure, A$AP Rocky and Flatbush Zombies, has joined Black Dog Films in the UK for music video and commercial representation.
Monaghan (pictured above left, with Sam Smith) is best known in music videos for his cinematic performance videos and narratives, with his videos for Smith - including for Leave Your Lover, I'm Not The Only One and the James Bond theme, The Writing's On The Wall - and Disclosure racking up well over two billion views between them.
This year he has directed the Dermot Kennedy video for Outnumbered, and Hamzaa's Write It Down, and Monaghan has now launched his career at Black Dog with the video for French rapper Orelsan's Fantômes, released to celebrate the first anniversary of Orelsan's third album The Party Is Over.
Monaghan's innate understanding of storytelling, and how to impact an audience, can also be seen in his commercial work for clients such as Beats By Dre, Nike, Adidas, Fox Sports, Stella Artois, and Levi's.
Menahwile, his acclaimed longform work has seen him pick up several major awards and nominations, including an Emmy Award for his 2017 HBO sports documentary on Mexican boxer Ray Beltran.
