A naughty schoolboy&nbsp;goes on a sugar-fuelled rampage, in French director and graphic designer&nbsp;So Me's promo for Riton's infectious Sugar - featuring&nbsp;Soaky Siren.&nbsp;The eccentric promo sees the young rascal (played by&nbsp;Ethan Wesley) tear up the town, stealing various sugary treats in a riotous, explosive adventure - much to the dismay of the poor people trying to go about their day.With&nbsp;frantic, in-your-face cinematography, a great supporting cast,&nbsp;some laugh out loud moments - as well as some lively choreography - it's a brilliant video that takes a fun concept and pulls it right to the edge of absurdity... and the track couldn't have asked for a more catchy visual.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Nogari directs a breathtaking promo for Tove Lo's new release - a love story with a difference.&nbsp;Shot in Mexico City, the video for Borderline sees an exhausted crash test dummy come to life and kidnap Tove Lo - who he has become obsessed with, having seen her calendar every day in the crash lab.&nbsp;From then on, the video transitions into an unusual love story, in which Lo falls in love with him and his criminal ways, until an explosive climax on the run from the police, which brings the video full circle.&nbsp;The dusty, gritty aesthetic and retrofuturistic nostalgia in the imagery is perfectly inkeeping with the artist's style at this point in her career. With Nogari's direction to elevate it to this level, it will no doubt have a lot of buzz around it when it comes to award season.&nbsp;

Two young lovers celebrate dance and movement in&nbsp;Fernando Nogari's energetic promo for Selena Gomez's Baila Conmigo.&nbsp;In preparation for her&nbsp;Spanish language&nbsp;EP release in March, Gomez has teamed up with Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro on the track, and enlisted Nogari to create the cinematic visual.&nbsp;From São Paulo, Nogari remotely directed Selena in Los Angeles and Rauw in Miami, and the video also features footage recorded in October 2020 at Praia da Redonda, located at the city of Icapuí, a fishing village on the coast of Ceará.&nbsp;It's a true feast for the eyes, as the two lead characters discover a path to each other through several upbeat vignettes.&nbsp;Pierre De Kerchove's cinematography encapsulates the palpable energy of the track, and captures the striking colours and textures of each location, creating a timeless aesthetic that yearns for adventure and a taste of the unknown.&nbsp;

Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia pay homage to the plucky spirit of a lobster, in the brilliantly absurd promo for Dua Lipa's We're Good.&nbsp;Taken from the&nbsp;deluxe edition of&nbsp;hit album Future Nostalgia, this is a gentle and seductive track with a completely unexpected visual treatment by the Israeli directing duo that has brought us a number of modern classics, like <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/05/17/coldplay-upup-vania-heymann-and-gal-muggia/41368" target="_blank">Coldplay's Up&amp;Up</a> and <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/06/28/tove-lo-glad-hes-gone-vania-heymann-gal-muggia/59501" target="_blank">Tove Lo's Glad He's Gone</a>.&nbsp;Set within a dining hall aboard a luxury cruise liner, Dua&nbsp;is dressed head to toe in flapper fashion, performing to the passengers as they tuck into luxurious seafood dinners. From a lobster's perspective, we see it's friends being taken and boiled alive, before an unexpected tragedy gives it an unlikely shot at freedom, seemingly in cohorts with the artist at the very end.&nbsp;&nbsp;It's a striking and playful concept - putting a positive spin on a famous, indeed Titanic&nbsp;disaster - which is&nbsp;elevated by&nbsp;Misha Levchenko and team's opulent art direction and&nbsp;Marcell Rév's cinematography - not to mention the extensive visual effects.&nbsp;

Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia take the intimate and make it spectacular in their video for Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez.Starting with the Trevor and Selena's&nbsp;performance of Past Life - brought together from their respective isolation by&nbsp;Instagram Live - Heymann and Muggia then characteristically move it on to a far greater scale, with unbridled imagination - but also using the resources available to them during the lockdown.When the fourth wall of the phone screen is broken, a GGI world is created and that's a pathway to a merging of landscapes - the natural wonders of the world with contours of Selena's face. And then also Trevor's.It's a visionary use of stock footage, somewhat in the vein of Heymann and Muggia's classic video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/05/17/coldplay-upup-vania-heymann-and-gal-muggia/41368" target="_blank">Coldplay's Up&amp;Up</a>, and the sweeping aerial shots across marvellous vistas also serve to make it appropriately romantic.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dance-offs get dystopian in the superb video for Charlotte De Witte &amp; Chris Liebing, directed by Fernando&nbsp;Nogari.The video tells a nonnormative love story between two outsiders struggling to survive under absurd circumstances. Inspired by the dance marathons held during the Great Depression, it’s set up in a dystopian near future where a girl’s only option to pay her lover’s debt and save his life is to compete in an underground marathon where contestants dance until they drop (and probably die).Lensed by Swedish DoP Erik Henrikson, who has worked on music videos for Beyoncé, The Weekend and Young Lean, the video was shot entirely in São Paulo. The visuals are intense and raw, treading a line between Mad Max and Gasper Noe's filmography, and the sweaty orange and copper colour palette lends an apocalyptic feel to the proceedings.
