Samuel Douek directs a warm and reflective promo for Mabel's Time After Time.&nbsp;You've probably heard Mabel's cover of the Cyndi Lauper classic on the McDonald's Christmas commercial this year, which depicts the story of a girl who outgrows&nbsp;her imaginary friend, before a trip to a McDonalds restaurant&nbsp;jogs her memory.&nbsp;The visual interpretation in the official music video is quite different, opting for a real-life, heartfelt concept which ponders love and loss,&nbsp;remembering those who are no longer with us, whilst looking forward to the future.&nbsp;The genuine emotion&nbsp;and intimate setup of the vignettes makes for a profound viewing experience, whilst Mabel's performance is spot-on as always.&nbsp;

A restless fever dream blurs the line between reality and fiction in James McLean's video for Leftwing:Cody, featuring Camden Cox.&nbsp; Intercutting frenetic setups of lead character Kyran O' Keefe&nbsp;desperately trying to escape his&nbsp;dreamworld, with glossy performance shots in an empty warehouse,&nbsp;the surreal vision is a perfect match for the upbeat track. Denai Moore descends into a wonderfully warped, highly stylised world in Samuel Douek's fantastical&nbsp;vision for the singer's Cascades.&nbsp;The track is based on Moore's troubled, troubling worldview:&nbsp;she sings about literally getting engulfed in sadness and depression, the sonic background shifting from optimistic to ominous, ending in a haunting, slowed-down acapella outro. At the same time, in the video her surreal, Alice-like adventure, encountering a cast of colourful characters after she luminously-lit car, gets darker. She is looking to find her way out of this dystopian maze.

Luke Bellis has delivered this fun new promo&nbsp;for English electropop band&nbsp;Fenech Soler&#39;s new track Kaleidoscope, which follows an&nbsp;Alice in Wonderland-inspired journey through the depths of a cavernous bed.&nbsp;We follow a young woman as she wakes up from a nightmare, finding herself in another mind-bending dream as she discovers a tunnel in her bed. Crawling through it, she is stopped in her tracks when the song&#39;s chorus kicks in, making the walls close in. Eventually she is spit back out into a spaceous&nbsp;fort made of colourful sheets, where she can finally meet the band&nbsp;responsible for&nbsp;the sweet, pop-rock tune.&nbsp;

Luke Jacobs is best known as a DoP &ndash; in particular&nbsp;for his work on director Josh Cole&#39;s videos for Rudimental and others. But now Luke has taken the plunge as a director himself, helming his debut video for London-based production trio Disciples&#39; They Don&#39;t Know.&nbsp;It&#39;s a gripping story - filmed on Luke&#39;s home turf, the beautiful, very cinematic&nbsp;Pembrokeshire coast of West Wales. Two teenage boys shooting rabbits on the cliffs interrupt a drug dealer forcing himself on a local girl, and that encounter, ending with the girl stealing the dealer&#39;s bag, ignites a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse.Luke shot this too&nbsp;- on a mixture of camera formats, then graded by Ben Rogers at Gramercy Park - and gets excellent performances from his cast. In particular&nbsp;Frederick Schmidt &ndash;&nbsp;also the hero of the <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2014/09/05/i-see-monstas-circles-josh-cole" target="_blank">I See Monsta&#39;s Circles video</a>, Luke&#39;s most recent video with Josh Cole - makes a memorably unhinged villain.

Josh Cole has crossed the globe to tell stories&nbsp;of high drama in his music videos for Rudimental&nbsp;and Chase &amp; Status. But he settled on Wales as the setting for a gritty and sometimes harrowing seven and a half minute action thriller for Circles by I See Monstas.&nbsp;This emotional&nbsp;rollercoaster starts with an incarcerated man - played by Frederick Schmidt -&nbsp;looking back on happier times. But on his release from prison,&nbsp;consequences of his past misdemeanours lead him into despair, and deeper into chaos &ndash; and an increasingly vicious spiral of violence.It&#39;s powerful and brutal, with a performance of great intensity by Schmidt - and more evidence that Josh Cole&#39;s destiny surely lies in making action drama for the big screen.&nbsp;

M.I.A. takes the reins to direct her own video for Double Bubble Trouble, and makes something totally distinctive - and very M.I.A. &nbsp;This is M.I.A.&#39;s version of a dystopian near-future in which youth control their technology, and run the world - wielding guns made on 3D-printers, and peace drones floating on their housing estates.&nbsp;Shot on multiple formats&nbsp;ranging from 4K to 16mm to iPhone, reflecting the multiple platforms of communication in the tech age,&nbsp;it&#39;s a&nbsp;riot of imagery, ideas, visual wit, with a&nbsp;trademark whiff of danger.With guest appearances from her track collaborators The Party Squad - together with squadrons of London kids - its an extravaganza of style and tech - and London attitude &ndash;&nbsp;supervised by producers Juliette Larthe and Margo Mars at Prettybird. But&nbsp;it&#39;s that overpowering&nbsp;bombardment of imagery which makes this so cool, and so characteristic of the artist. M.I.A. has knocked it out of the park.
