Spiritualized's J Spaceman (aka Jason Pierce) directs the video for the second release from the forthcoming album Everything Was Beautiful, creative directed by Juliette Larthe.Spiritualized’s gentle balladic track is heightened with the soothing country vocals of Nikki Lane, and bought to life with Spaceman’s music video, a collage of images featuring couples from different eras, different cultures and different genders.The imagery is overlaid with artwork from the familiar and iconic pharmaceutical packaging motif of Spiritualized’s album design, which dates back to Mark Farrow’s artwork for the 1997 classic album Ladies and Gentlemen we are Floating in Space, and was also a visual theme overlaying the video for the track Always Together with You, released late last year, which was also creative directed by Larthe.Everything Was Beautiful&nbsp;is out on February 25 (via Fat Possum) and follows 2018’s And Nothing Hurt. Together, the titles form a quote from Kurt Vonnegut’s classic novel Slaughterhouse Five: “Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.”

Stormzy rules a dystopian industrial world in Taz Tron Delix's video for Audacity.&nbsp;Riding on top of a HGV as it piles down a foggy motorway, the message is clear: Stormzy is done playing games, and is calling out the audacity of those who doubt his worth.&nbsp;With slick shots of fire-swept concrete wastelands, strobing performance setups and burning piles of cash, the visual is a statement and a warning. Stormzy isn't going anywhere, so it's time to pay him the respect he deserves.&nbsp;With brilliant production values and talent across the creative team, this is a real standout among the year's releases, just before we enter the next decade.&nbsp;

A woman escapes a forbidding testing facility in Jak Payne's video for Prospa's banging Control The Party.&nbsp;Shot in the soon to be demolished Fawley Power Station, the concept centres on a group of unwilling test subjects, reminiscent of the MK Ultra experiments of the 1960s. As the lead character, played by model Alice Dellal, enters the facility, she notices several others in various states of distress.&nbsp;With styling that nods towards Jean-Paul Gaultier's stunning bondage pieces&nbsp;in The Fifth Element, and a heavy use of dramatic red and green lighting, this is a dystopia that no-one wants to be a part of. Our protagonist escapes the facility with a little help from a friend, but as she sits on the beach enjoying her new found freedom, you can't help but wonder if she is going to get dragged right back in.&nbsp;

Ian Pons Jewell is back with the first of two new music videos, for London-based&nbsp;poet, musician and artist James Massiah - and brings us&nbsp;the end of the world in his own inimitable fashion.The video for Massiah's Natural Born Killers shows a city facing the ultimate unbearable heatwave,&nbsp;one that brings about a rush of dopamine, as the inhabitants of the city sweat out their final hours. The heat is inescapable, and Pons Jewell brings us a snapshot of an epic storyline featuring different characters&nbsp;- including&nbsp;Massiah, the last person on Earth to retain any cool.Everyone else is surrendered to their fate, and not wearing much - or anything at all. Which leads to the inspired use of VFX in the final scene where Pons Jewell puts his own characteristically off-the-wall twist on this parable of global heating - a melted man.Shot in Buenos Aires,&nbsp;Mauro Chiarello’s cinematography focuses on contrast, blown out highlights and a burnt orange colour palette, and helps create a sense of apocalyptic dread in both the exterior and interior locations. Meanwhile, Time Based Arts in London created the inspired VFX, culminating in that extraordinary final scene.

Nadia Lee Cohen&#39;s video for Elli Ingram takes your typical British greasy spoon&nbsp;and gives it a twist.The static stock characters, with some rather eccentric additions, take on a waxwork quality while taking it in turns to sing lines of the song that are applicable to their day to day lives and relationships. From grans with rightwing tabloids and overworked waitresses, to the less common sight of female bodybuilders still in workout costume, it&#39;s an almost-frozen moment that acts as a window into each of the character&#39;s lives.

Tom Beard&#39;s video for Jamie T - his first for the London artist, having worked with him on several other kinds of visual projects previously&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;is disturbing and compelling, even though not that much happens. As a teenage girl starts her day, she preens in front of her cameraphone - and from that point everything she does, as she meets up with a boy and they set off on a day out,&nbsp;is caught on that camera.&nbsp;The relentlessness of the track - and lo-fi performance footage of Jamie T and band is cut into the narrative&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;encourages&nbsp;a sense of unease that works on at least a couple of levels. Quite apart from the threat of something bad about to break the&nbsp;mundanity in the video, it&#39;s that constant&nbsp;self-documentation - and the distancing effect it creates &ndash;&nbsp;that really strikes a chord. It&#39;s not what might happen, because&nbsp;it already has.&nbsp;
