Filmed for an episode of&nbsp;The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in late January, Samuel Taylor captures this riveting performance by Fontaines D.C., performing the title track of the Grammy-nominated A Hero's Death&nbsp;in the Auld Shillelagh pub in Stoke Newington, London.In Sam Taylor's words it's "one of the thinnest pubs in London town", which DoP Eira Wyn Jones has lit beautifully, colour-coding different parts of the room.&nbsp;Kudos to Steadicam op Jake Whitehouse too, for negotiating this tricky space - moving up and down the length of the pub through the band and Guinness-supping regulars - to capture&nbsp;the live version in one hypnotic take.Unfortunately, it's the closest to the inside of a pub that you will get this weekend. Cheers anyway.

Tom Beard directs an intimate choreography video&nbsp;for Rita Ora's How To Be Lonely.&nbsp;Joining a group of dancers all dressed in white athleisure wear, Ora showcases her skills as she struts through a variety of high-energy setups.&nbsp;&nbsp;Matching the pace and emotional punch of the track, DoP&nbsp;Eira Wyn Jones balances wide shots of the action with closeups of Ora's affecting performance.&nbsp;Editor&nbsp;Lucy Berry hits all the right marks, allowing the group choreography to breathe at the beginning and&nbsp;build to a crescendo of action as the video closes out. It's a&nbsp;simple and effective promo which still manages to get across the complex emotion of the track.&nbsp;

Heavy on lo-fi VFX courtesy of&nbsp;Deveroe, the video is suggestive in terms of narrative, then hits it out of the park with the experimental imagery.&nbsp;Feeling equal parts The Matrix, futuristic cyberpunk and frenetic drug trip, the visuals are stunning to watch, and&nbsp;I Am Here's experience with surrealist concepts really shine through here.&nbsp;

Louis De Caunes tells the story of a prophet and his disciples for Ebenezer, transplanting elements of story of Christ to a modern setting.Classic religious and mythological symbols are reinterpreted in the urban world of 2018 - including a figure&nbsp;walking on water, a Last Supper,&nbsp;and references to Michelangelo&#39;s&nbsp;The Creation of Adam. But this is a more gritty and down-home approach to the visual pillars of Christianity, than in recent videos for Ariana Grande and Travis Scott.Shot in New Orleans, with Steve Annis DoPing for De Caunes, this looks ravishing as well as being more fixed in the real world.

This fabulous video for French-African outfit&nbsp;Tshegua from Pantera - that&#39;s the Buenos Aires-based directing collective, not the &#39;80s metal band -&nbsp;features&nbsp;Sarah Sekongo as a young woman establishing a normal life for herself in the Ivory Coast despite her outwardly invisible but profound disability.This is a beautifully made piece of work, that fully immerses you in her world, and through that, the music of Tshegua - the music that Sekongo cannot herself hear.&nbsp;With photography by the redoubtable Steve Annis, this is a story that seeps into the viewer&#39;s psyche and brings joy. Marvellous.&nbsp;&nbsp;

For the second collaboration between Salomon Ligthelm and Young Fathers (following <a href="https://vimeo.com/217809089" target="_blank">Mr Martyr</a>)&nbsp;the director was inspired by the track to create a world where dictators behave like spoilt little children, throwing tantrums because things aren&rsquo;t going their way.Sorry, that is the real world. In this case, Ligthelm actually turns our terrifying leaders into children - a great device at the heart of a stirringly satirical and&nbsp;highly entertaining interpretation of the track Toy.&ldquo;The tone of the track is so visceral and abrasive, which I think marries the political subject matter perfectly,&rdquo; says Ligthelm. &ldquo;Looking at the political climate of our time, I&rsquo;d say truth is certainly stranger than fiction.&rdquo;With a wonderful cast of youngsters playing the nasty rulers, great locations, lovely photography (DoP Steve Annis give it a classic look) and a fine edit by Dan Sherwen, this is a very strong addition to the excellent campaign of videos accompanying the new Young Fathers&#39; album, Cocoa Sugar.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rollo Jackson has written and directed a powerful, thought-provoking short drama to accompany Stormzy&#39;s acclaimed, era-defining debut album Gang Signs &amp; Prayer. It crystallises the themes of the album into a narrative of a young Afro-Caribbean boy in London who is drawn to become a &#39;bad boy&#39;, with terrible consequences. The&nbsp;paranoia, brutality and madness&nbsp;of the modern world are all&nbsp;present in the sweaty confines of the club, where Jemima Kirk plays the girl who questions the system, the clique divisions and the devotion to the godlike DJ.All this works well with Jagger&#39;s Gotta Get A Grip - a not bad at all Stones-like workout.
