Jamie T has a nighttime romp through the city, in Niall Trask's promo for 90s Cars. Sitting in the passenger seat of a car, we see a bruised-up, bloodied Jamie chill out as a blur of nighttime scenery passes by. Stopping by the river for an impromptu performance, the narrative of the video is left mysterious and secretive, instead focusing on the cinematic driving vignettes.

Greg Barnes directs a subtly otherworldly visual for French multi-instrumentalist Vincent Fenton, known as French Kiwi Juice - or FKJ.Starring dancer Mès Lesne, the video is an emotional journey told through choreography, intense and affecting with plenty of room for individual interpretation. We see Lesne move to different beats, reflecting the personalities of those around him, whilst FKJ appears playing different instruments from the track, at different points in the video. The cinematography adds a romantic yet gritty layer to the visual, which encapsulates the nighttime scenery and the surreal vibes of the idea. It's a great twist on the interpretive dance concept, refreshing and engaging throughout.

Lucy Knox directs an evocative promo for Australian rock band DMA's.In a mirrored studio environment, we see vocalist Tommy O'Dell performing as a strobing light reveals snapshots of enigmatic characters.As the video progresses, the room expands into a tidalwave of personalities dancing unabashedly, interspersed with experimental cutaways and portraits of the group. Knox's cinematic vision is the perfect accompaniment to the music, and the imagery lingers long after it's finished - a telltale sign of a brilliant piece of work.

Lu Xiao Wei directs a mesmerising promo for Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist Luna Li. On the pulsating streets of nighttime LA, we see Li drift around in a car with several friends, making several stops to perform an improv dance with her doppelgänger and cycle through different slick outfits. In a dreamlike haze of vignettes, Li shines through with an understated yet magnetic presence, whilst the ethereal cinematography and unexpected styling choices create a world that is very much tailored to the artist and her aesthetic.

Curse Of Lono vocalist Felix Bechtolsheimer goes on a journey of rediscovery, in Gregg Houston's thought-provoking promo for Let Your Love Rain Down On Me. The abstract narrative unfolds slowly across the three and a half minute runtime, and leaves plenty of room for interpretation. Bechtolsheimer is shown digging something up and taking it to a new destination, but this is all that is given away. The slick cinematography, paired with gritty film textures and a lonely nighttime setting, create an otherworldy vibe throughout the video, which feels as if it could be in a parallel world or somewhere not quite anchored in our reality.

A magic night out is captured in all its delirious, euphoric glory in Callum Lloyd-James's video for Spector's Catch You On The Way Back In.In a dramatic change of style from the prolific director's recent work of the likes of Becky Hill and Vistas, Lloyd-James draws in the viewer with the hint of an emerging romance within a swirl of near-abstract images of the city. He has created the work by shooting his elusive romance on 16mm, and ambient effects using the single frame function on a Super 8mm camera, then brought them together with a furious edit that really does give the impression of a night where the camera has had at least one too many...
