Phillip Youmans directs an ambitious blend of sci-fi and contemporary dance in his latest collaboration with Michael Kiwanuka.The video for Floating Parade is formed of several distinctive vignettes, focussed around connection and our place on this Earth as humans. Youmans' narrative device is to have the world we take for granted seen through the eyes of individuals revealed to be extra-terrestrials.In a possible echo of the American indie classic The Brother From Other Planet, all the visitors to Earth are played by African-Americans. With an aesthetic that switches between near-future sci-fi vibes and more understated, naturalistic scenes, it's an abstract piece that feels fully immersive and touching. It strikes a very different mood to Yeomans' previous video for Kiwanuka, the UKMVA-winning video for Beautiful Life, yet they share his distinctive cinematic style. “This song is so beautiful, and it takes you to another world," Youmans explains. "I’ve always loved sci-fi, so I wanted to bring that to this idea. Through this piece, I want people to experience the simple things of life with a newfound appreciation on Earth, this floating parade that we call home.”

Otis Dominique and RAYE continue their standout collaborative streak with this dazzling seven-minute epic for Genesis. It's a video of two parts - the first five minutes are a darkly conceptual, twisty ride through societal woes, fear and depression. The final two minutes are the antithesis of this, exuding hope, light and love. Shot across a week, the video is hugely ambitious, with a blockbuster sense of scale and an infectious mix of choreography, performance and conceptual vignettes. DoP David Wright responds brilliantly to the complexity of Dominique and RAYE's brief, with cinematography that spans from darkly cinematic to mock-TV ad colourful to off-the cuff doc style.Written by Dominique, RAYE and her creative director Mikey Robbins, it's a momentous visual - one of the biggest of the year so far. “It's always special when me, RAYE and Mikey link up but feel we went to a different, different level with this one!" Dominique says, justifiably."It feels surreal that it’s actually out in the world now and people can take it in. We shot the video across seven days and the whole crew and team were phenomenal too and I’m honoured to have met and worked with so many great people throughout this project. It’s hard to sum up in few words but hopefully the film and music can do the talking for now 🖤”

Jordan Rossi orchestrates a widescreen action epic for The Script's comeback track, with lead singer Danny O'Donague performing on the back of a speeding truck - which could in fact be two trucks heading towards each other.Shot outside Sitges in Spain, the video for Both Ways is a turbo-charged blend of band performance, spectacular drone work and impressive stunts - with the band's fearless frontman tethered to the flatbed rear of a huge vehicle speeding through the desert.As Rossi explains, this big statement for the returning Irish pop-rock outfit was inspired by a golden age of action movies and succeeds in making that old school flavour feel fresh and fun once more, and radiating infectious energy. "As soon as I heard the track, I knew I wanted to do something wide and epic with it," Rossi explains. "It gave me a summer anthem vibe and I wanted to visually take it into a space that was energetic and propulsive."I've always been a big fan of directors like Tony Scott and Michael Bay with their insane yet grounded storytelling where compressed images become larger-than-life."I've spent the last five years working on car commercials in various forms and this was the perfect project to bring my knowledge and experience to life without having any commercial constraints."Danny, Glen and the whole band were so spectacular to work with. Danny especially who was chained to the truck for a good four hours at a time and didn't complain once. It really took a whole village to make this one happen."

Matt Healey directs a fun microbudget promo for indie outfit Kombu Nori - a single-take video of various characters' lives intersecting on a single road, all in their own bubble and on their own journeys. With a variety of personalities boasting colourful outfits, each having their moment on screen as they walk purposefully down a suburban street, it's a charming video that encapsulates the dreampop vibes of Kombu Nori's track Summer Sun. "My aim with the video was to make something that complemented the summery, breezy tone of the song," says Healey. "I wanted to make a concept-driven video that was creatively a little different to other promos out there - and was also ambitious [and] difficult to pull off."
