Elle Coves 'Hit Me Where It Hurts' by Lucas Murray-Reynolds
Promonews - 9th Oct 2025
From the talking stage, to dating, to the first kiss, to lust and anger and misunderstanding, Lucas Murray-Reynolds' video for singer-songwriter Elle Coves tells the story of a relationship from beginning to end - and all within the confines of a beaten-up phone booth.
"When Elle pitched me her vision for the video, I fell in love with the powerful simplicity in letting a story play out within the confinements of a phone booth and how well it would work with the track," says Murray-Reynolds.
"Elle gave me a lot of free reign to push the concept as far as I thought we could achieve and so I was keen to place a heavy focus on the narrative of scenes and telling the story without overdoing the concept visually.
"The aim was to make it striking whilst allowing the narrative to be at the forefront through a performance from Elle that stood as a sort of narration."
