The ties that bind a married couple become visible in an absorbing visual for the opening track of Wilco's classic 2002 album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Director Ryne Barnish exposes the stresses and tensions in a marital relationship with hugely effective devices  - the core of domestic life, the bed, is outside in the open air; a complex network of ropes connects the couple and their belongings to their surroundings, and to each other.

Visually imaginative but also grounded in reality, the result is emotionally affecting and poignant.
