Dylan White directs an animated promo for Samantha Whates & Ida Wenøe, appropriately dedicated to the old-school landline telephone, in its late 20th century variety.

The video for Bless The Telephone is inspired by retro phones, their outlandish designs and oversize keypads, which create the colourful melding of optimism and melancholia we recognise in obsolete tech.

Inspired not only by the handsets themselves, but also British and Danish design, and the vintage posters of Per Arnoldi, the video weaves organic textures with hyper-vibrant linework, creating a fresh and absorbing vision. 

A lovely piece of work, with an unusual yet brilliantly-suited concept.
