Timothée Joly 'Ne Me Parle Plus' by Micha Akchoti

Rob Ulitski - 9th July 2024

Micha Akchoti directs a second promo for Timothée Joly, following the thought-provoking visual for Oxygène Pur.

The video for Ne Me Parle Plus (Don't Talk to Me Anymore) dives deeper in the dichotomy between symbolic imprisonment and the quest for freedom present throughout the EP.

Viewers are immersed in these darker emotions through the use of expressionistic black and white cinematography, often borrowing from fascist and communist propaganda imagery (and clothing) to express the political metaphor.

It's a truly arresting video, which blends a sensitive message with bold, unwavering imagery. Joly's performance feels both confrontational and honest, and it's the perfect complement to the first visual collaboration.
